Berryman’s Reorganisation and Recovery team advises businesses, directors, insolvency practitioners and financial institutions on all aspects of administrations, bankruptcies, receiverships and liquidations, and on how best to ‘reshape’ businesses in order to meet the challenges faced by the current economic climate, whether that be inside or outside of the insolvency process.
We can advise on potential liabilities for directors, restructuring proposals and how to protect your interests as a creditor of an insolvent company. We also frequently act for those buying businesses from insolvency practitioners.
The team is led by corporate partner and recognised restructuring expert, Patrick Billyeald, supported by two new hires and insolvency specialists, Sue Lowry and Carl Mifflin, who join from HBJ Gateley Wareing. The team can draw on additional sector-specific support from other specialists across the firm.
